Video: Nazem Kadri Runs Through Lars Eller

Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri has had a break out season this year. Through 41 games he has scored 17 goals, recorded 41 points and has been one of the biggest pieces to the Maple Leafs' success and will have to be come playoffs.

He has recieved praise from all around the hockey world, and even gotten a somewhat ceremonial kiss from perhaps his biggest fan, hockey enthusiast, Don Cherry. Well last night, he reminded the hockey world that there is a physical aspect to his game as well.

Unfortunately for Lars Eller of the Montreal Canadiens, he was the memo sent out for the world to read.



Toronto went onto rout the Canadiens by a final score of 5-1and Kadri ended the game with one point, an assist on the Maple Leafs' fourth goal of the night.

Over the years these young kids start to build up, and in some cases, before they can even legally drink a beer, they are a force to be reckoned and are mentioned in the same sentence as some of the best players in the world.

Over the last two decades, The Detroit Red Wings and the Stanley Cup Playoffs have have gone together like peanut butter and jelly. You could not talk about one without mentioning the other. As a matter of fact, with the Red Wings qualifying for the playoffs the last 21 seasons, there is a good portion of the NHL fan base that likely does not remember a season where the Red Wings did not qualify for the playoffs.

The last time the Wings did not qualify for the playoffs was the '89-'90 season, a year before this blogger was even born. Some of the NHL's top young talent like, Nail Yakupov, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Gabriel Landeskog, Jeff Skinner and Tyler Seguin were born several seasons into this streak.
