NHL Players Dominating Over Seas

The NHL is now 23 days into the lockout and many players have fled to various leagues on the other side of the pond. While the owners and the NHLPA continue to bicker over the details of a new collective bargaining agreement some of the NHL's top talent are over seas putting together dominant performances and highlight reel goals.

Players like Evgeni Malkin, Pavel Datsyuk, Alexander Ovechkin, and Ilya Kovalchuk have bolted to Russia's Kontinental Hockey League and have been successful while there. Malkin has recorded two goals and seven assists in nine games, Datsyuk and Ovechkin have recorded three goals and five assists in six and seven games respectively and Kovalchuk has potted four goals and six assists in six games.

However, not all of the NHL's top players are taking their talent to Russia. Anze Kopitar and Gabriel Landeskog have traveled to Sweden, and Rick Nash and Joe Thornton are playing in Switzerland.

Here are some of the highlights of NHL players and their talents outside of North America thus far.
