July-lights: July 15th, Williams Spins Past The Lightning

Since coming to the Los Angeles Kings three seasons ago, Justin Williams has found himself being one of the teams top forwards alongside players like Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown. That is when he is healthy. Williams has not played a full season, 82 games, since the '05-'06 season with the Carolina Hurricanes.

In his three seasons with the Kings, Williams has played in 134, games netting 33 goals, assisting on 57, totaling 90 points. He was close to playing all 82 games last season but a late season shoulder injury cut that short at 73 games played. Williams did return in the playoffs to play six games grabbing four points with three goals and one assist.

Kings fans are extremely happy when he is healthy because he can produce goals like the one below.

Kings forward, Ryan Smyth, started the play off by picking up the puck at the Tampa Bay blue line and fed the puck to Williams with a nice backhand saucer pass. Williams received the pass in front of the net and brought the puck around on his back hand  getting by the Lightning goalie.

A healthy Williams is a good Williams wouldn't you agree
